That "CP55"-etc is a military part number.? If it was a standard HP part, it would be marked with an HP number, if it was numbered at all.? Like another poster said, look on the instrument ID tag for an "H" modification number.

On the downside, H mods aren't well documented - you may never know anything about yours except what you reverse engineer.

Subject: [HP-Agilent-Keysight-equipment] HP 5245L: unknown chassis capacitor
?

I have an HP 5245L counter (1436A26554).? I have looked at the Keysight changes for my serial number and cannot account for the chassis-mounted capacitor shown in the photo.

The mounting bracket looks very "official" for what it's worth.

1. does anyone know if this is a "real" modification?
2. if so, what does the capacitor attach to?? This is quite important as one of the two terminals has nothing connected to it.

Thanks!!
