Some 20+ years ago before I retired, I also had a problem with a company when I asked for schematics for a piece of out of warrantee T&M equipment that was broken. I was told that that information was not available to me and only their technicians could work on the equipment for a service call charge.?

I said that's fine as long as he/she is OK working in a DOE nuclear high radiation accelerator environment.?

They sent the schematics - no charge!? The equipment got fixed.

While this is a true story, some of you may have to get creative. YMMV.
