FWIW, I've repaired a good number of 182C and 182T in a distant past
and often there was a carbon composition resistor (100 ohms) going
open in the cathode drive circuit.

When just beam fid works it will be any of the following.
Blanking Z is cutoff for some reason.
X or Y or both are totally unbalanced. Typically some sort of supply failure if you find the delection all the way to one side.
But if just x or y then most likely a transistor in that deflection circuit.
Generally reasonable to find.
