Back in March of 2012, we had a prolonged discussion about the fingers.? Jeff Pinsky had found some stock that was the correct size.? It was even BeCu, I think.? I don't have a copy of the post where he said where he had gotten it, but the spacing and length are available.? You just can't get them cut to the right length and drilled for you.

The screws are the way to go.?

Sometimes you can find the contacts down in the box and sometimes you can't. I had an 8559 and an 8558 with not enough contacts to go around.

I fixed the 8559 first with the contacts I had, attached using 13BA (M1) screws.??

After that the 8558 switches were quite a few contacts short. I made an extra 9 pcs by milling them.
I don't think there is any off the shelf finger stock that will do it.?

It did cost a bit to do.

Micro milling machine
0.4mm drills?
0.4mm milling cutters
1.2mm drills

Now they both work and I'm a happy man.? HP8640B? contacts?are not the same. I might like to try making some of those? someday.

The flat machining work is quite easy. The ~45degree bend is not hard. Forming the rounded ends on the fingers??Who knows how to do that easily? I used small pliers but it isn't the best...??
