Re: Boonton 250-A RX meter

I need to look at the remains of my RX meter to be sure I give you the right instructions but the slugs are accessible via a hole in the front of the oscillator assembly which is covered by an octagonal bolt head. just to the side of the dial.? The oscillator assembly must be removed from the front panel. The dial does not have to be touched but the knobs must be removed.
?? There is a procedure for removal in the handbook. I have to look to make sure which side of the casting needs to be removed to inspect the coils. You need to look to see if the coil for the high band looks damaged. I thought you said you had cleaned the turret contacts so you will have to have removed this cover.
??? More a little later.

Look in the files section.? There are two copies zipped with different utilities.

I am still at a loss how to gain access to the alignment adjustments for the detector local oscillator.? It appears I must remove the front panel.? Has anyone tried this?
