If you want to demodulate signals, a better approach might be to use an SDR on the IF; you'll most likely need an attenuator and maybe an up-converter as the SDR dongles don't work below 50MHz without some trickery. There are any number of SDR control programs out there (HDSDR, SDR#, etc.)?that will give you a waterfall?display as well as the spectrum as well as the ability to listen to any type of modulation.
