V31XX Belize 3
OK Ev, pony up! "Begin forwarded message: Subject: [tdxs-list] V31XX SUPERSTAION FOR SALE (PRICE REDUCTION) My health continues to deteriorate and I have reduced the price of the station to only $359,900 USD. The XYL and I are almost to the point of just dropping the tower if we don't sell to a ham and just selling the home as a regular residence, which would be a shame. Lots of details on V31XX.com. Be sure to hit the blog tab on the site for more pics and complete details of the home station. 73 Bill K4XS/V31XX cqtestk4xs@...

Proposed Change of Meeting Date 3
Gentlemen We're on the calendar for our next meeting...set for Wednesday, September 20. As it turns out, I'll be on the road via car that day without internet. I'd like to propose moving our September meeting to Tuesday, September 19 (first choice)...or if that won't work, Friday, September 22. I just checked with Joe and he can do either...with Tuesday as first choice. Ev

My September Adventure plan 7
I am a member of the Front Range 6 Meter Group. They have a connection to The Deep Space Exploration Society and Plishner Radio Telescope at Haswell, Colorado. They operate a 60 foot radio telescope. They are holding an event on Saturday, September 16 at the telescope. I've received an invitation to operate off the moon (EME) during that event. I'd never be able to do that with anything I own! I¡¯ll share more on our zoom call. Ev

Costa Rica Operations 6
Should have posted this here before re: Chris Drummond's Costa Rica operations. I "think" he was down there prior to 2015 but not sure. I know he was down there at least twice more after the 2015 trip. Whether all the trips were at Las Villas del Guayabo or not I have no idea. I came across the below video shortly after it aired and I did some research on going down there, but other things took precedence. It is a beautiful country and we loved rambling about in it, even if we did have to make the concerted effort to "avoid all contact, including eye contact with Jane" Goodall. "Joe, here is one video snippet. Location was "Las Villas del Guayabo" which in the foothills of Miravalles volcano (about an hour¡¯s drive north east of the Liberia, Costa Rica). link: <https://www.livefromthehamshack.tv/2015/11/27/episode-25-dxpedition-to-costa-rica/> All the older expedition stuff from Chris seems to have vanished but I know Chris and some others were down there using TI7/homecalls several other years. Last was 2018 I think. Here is the link to the ¡®contest station¡¯ at Guayabo: <https://www.lasvillasdelguayabo.com/contesting> This page also has all the info needed for customs and SUTEL as well as fillable forms to make it easy. Caveat: Guayabo is not near the beach but it is pretty high up on the NE side of the volcano. I don¡¯t remember if that¡¯s the one we climbed up to but couldn¡¯t see the crater due to all the steam/fog/cloud. Nice country nonetheless. Mac

Guys Joe and I were on Zoom today. We discussed his work with Easter Island and mine with Roatan.
