Re: [hercules-390] Restoring OS/360 21.8 starter system from tape
How do you IPL the system initially?? is it from os360a.aws?? There are some other files with bcd and tap suffixes in tape folder; what are they?? Does the os.ini and load.ini play a role in hercules environment?? It would be helpful if you document what you did step by step. Rahim ??

These form a pretty complete library for me. By the way, I got the JES3 manuals from Moshix's Youtube channel, the video about JES3 on MVS 3.8 has the links. I was able to get an MVS > 3.8 JES3 system running with my own MVS build. At the time, I was supporting a modern z/OS 2.2 JES3 complex for my work, so it was interesting to see the changes that have been made over the years, but it does work. If anyone is interested, I can share what I went through. > > JES2: > GC23-0002-0_MVS_System_Programming_Library_JES2_May76.pdf > GC23-0007-1_Operators_Library_OS_VS2_MVS_JES2_Commands_Jan79.pdf >
