We have a main group with 7 subgroups and Premium subscription. One subgroup was deleted last night -accidentally or maliciously. We’ve removed that person from all the groups so they hopefully can’t delete other subgroups. We can’t rule out that we have somehow been hacked though. I”m trying to export all the groups so we now have a back up. I’ve done this before but only for my subgroup and not recently. Now the export button is missing. 2 questions - 1 Does a premium subscription come with any backup? 2 - I’m following the instructions in the manual to export but the export button is gone and I can’t find it anywhere. Is it now somewhere else and the manual hasn’t yet updated the instructions? Thanks in advance for the help you’re able to offer.

Hi, A group I admin has always truncated email addresses since I started 5 years ago- showing them incomplete (the first part of the email shows and the latter half is just "..."). If we put a space somewhere in the email we can get around it. However, just today I noticed another group I'm in doesn't automatically truncate emails addresses. How can I get my group to stop truncating email addresses? Thanks!

Hello, Sorry for opening multiple topics, but we have another issue that is concerning the calendar. We run a series of subgroups, each of them quite active. We organize monthly calls, and we usually do so by setting up an Outlook calendar, and inviting the "email" address of the subgroup. This has always worked well, people usually get a calendar invite, and regardless if they accept it or not, it stays in their Outlook - which is great. However, in one of the subgroups, the calendar invite was converted to an .ics file and nobody received the regular meeting request. We've tried to replicate it on other groups, but without success. Anyone knows why? What would be the best way of setting calendar meetings -- from Outlook or from the Group interface? What if we want to keep anonymous the people that respond to that calendar invite? Thanks!

Hello, we just stumbled upon a curiosity. In one of our subgroups, someone forwarded an email to the group email address. However the "FWD" from the title was stripped once it arrived on the platform. We've tried again with "FW", and that didn't get removed. Any idea why? And are there other words that get removed if used in a title? Thanks!

We have fewer than 12 messages a day, sometimes just 2-3 daily. Is that why former “owner”, now a moderator, is not getting a daily digest?

Just started an alumni group that I was hoping to post to today. Didn't realize that one couldn't post until the group was "approved." Does anyone know how long it typically takes before a group is approved? Is it minutes, hours, days? Trying to figure out if I'll need to send out my time sensitive message another way. Hello! We sometimes have birthday surprises or events for a single person within an email group and we don't want them to see the email. What is the best way to temporarily keep that person from seeing the surprise notice? I tried "none" for owner email, but that failed lol. I don't know if it matters if that person is also a moderator. I appreciate any advice, thank you!

I am the Vice President of the Vintage Radio Control Society. Our president Mike Denest has recently passed away. He was the sole owner and moderator for our group. Hello I'm a long time multiple group owner. I'm 86 and my technical skills are fading. My question is, since I've recently had a change in email addys, is it possible to change to my new email Addy in ALL of my groups at one time? FYI. my old email account can receive but not send emails now, and even receiving will be terminated shortly. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Okay, I know. RTFM – Read The Full Manual. And I did, and again. And then again. And it’s not working for me. I have a thread of 18 messages that I merged into one – and it worked just like it always has. I’ve done this before. Then I figured out that I wanted a different message within this thread to be the ‘lead’ message. So I figured ‘this is easy, I’ll just Split out the one I want as the ‘new lead’, then Merge the remaining 17 back with it…but I cannot get the Split Option to show in the hamburger menu. I’ve played with multiple combinations (followed the instructions “to a T” at least a few times, then tried other combinations) and no been able to get the hamburger to allow the Split option. Obviously, unless I take a video of what I’m doing, or amass a bunch of screen shots, I can’t show you what I’m doing, when, and how. But I can at least ask for help in someone confirming that I should be able to Split one message out of an 18 message Topic. I’ve thought far enough out that if no one can figure out what I’m doing wrong, or that it really won’t work for them either, or there’s another way that I haven’t figured out, I can go in and play with the Message Topics and alter them to attempt to achieve my objective. Good morning, In the process of creating my new group, I invited an initial set of members, then I submitted my new group. Later, when I attempted to add new members, I saw this message: This group has not yet been approved. Once it has been approved, you will be able to post to it. Does this mean I'm only allowed to invite members when I create the group, but I cannot invite additional members until the group is approved? Thank you, Denise
