Sorting a group search

How can I sort the results of a search of a certain interest? I'd like to sort with newest first. When clicking on newest first after getting my search results, it defaults back to the whole list of groups.

Debbie -- As you have discovered, you cannot search the groups list for keywords and use the tabs at left to further filter the resulting hits. The two functions are mutually exclusive.

This would be a good suggestion for improvement. The official "suggestion box" for groups.io is the beta group (). I wouldn't expect it to happen anytime soon, though.
