Re: is address reverification still taking place?
I agree that Mark's been pretty silent on this.
That's what I did. Haven't heard a peep from any of them.
I agree completely. That said, those accounts can't post, can't receive messages, nor do

Mark Fletcher is not affiliated with this group and does not monitor it. Send your request to [email protected] As I stated previously, you will probably have to pay ahead for a year of Premium ($220)

Thanks Duane.? We have the files.? A fellow from the other group downloaded them and sent them to me.? So in hope that the moderators here include Mark, I asked if he would move them to our

A lot of those come from spammers.? I ignore anyone that can't figure out how to join the group properly and don't allow non-members to post.

Do you get many non member posts?
If a groups message archive is open anyone can read the posts, but to be able to post or reply requires a person to join the group to my mind

Frances,
Yes, I think it's forgetfulness. No, they're not trying to join using the usual channels. They're sending a "Please add me to the group" message to the group posting address.

Re: How do I report SPAM?
I believe groups.io does stop some spam, but there is no way to report it. The address probably is spoofed.
I think we have two options: either use a personal spamfilter, or have one at the

The applicant for group membership would click on Apply for membership. Or email the group owner email address.
They would not be able to simply email the whole group.

Re: How do I report SPAM?
A useful suggestion but after setting one's group to not accept non-member posts
how then do potential new members contact one's group to request joining?
Just curious . . . .

I tend to agree. Spammers are a dime a dozen. As soon as one is shut down, three more take its place. Also, the Email addresses they're using are either entirely bogus or belong to real
