That's what I did. Haven't heard a peep from any of them.

I agree completely. That said, those accounts can't post, can't receive messages, nor do they count against your membership quota. So I suppose they really aren't doing any harm.

I suspect Mark is reluctant to act further out of concern about receiving a flurry of irate/overstated messages from group owners ("The system removed all my subscribers!"). That's only a guess, though.
