If you have previously registered a credit card and you are set up as payor for both groups, payment will occur automatically on the due date. If there's a problem charging the card you will be sent a notification...if I remember correctly there's a two-week grace period.

On your screen shot, you'll see lower down in the "Your Group Features" panel that next to Integrations it says Not Enabled, so you don't have them.? If you had signed up for a free trial group, you'd have most of the items for 30 days, but they'd quit working after that unless you pay for the group.? New free groups are much more restricted than those from 3 years ago.

Re: Anonymous Polling

There are 3rd party polling services you can use. I've used them in the past, but they are not completely opaque, either. In some cases, you might be able to see who voted, but not how they voted.

Sort of.? You can select "Do not show who responded to the poll."? However, an admin can go in and change that at any time, even after a poll has closed, so it's not 100% guaranteed.? I suggested several years ago, but I just tested and it's still the same.

Re: "From" In group email messages

On messages going to spam, need to unblock groups.io.? The only time you'd need to add to your address book is if you got an answer that marked as spam, after using 'reply to sender'.? That will send to the person's email vice the group.? Check spam filter before dumping it.

Well, this is confusing, I just took a look and my group page said, integrations 0 of 5 on the free plan, so is something broken? Or

did I misread the table. Here hopefully is a of my page.

Happy Saturday. I even saw integrations when I first set up the group but skipped past it.

Wow, I guess that help article needs updating then as it said nothing about the integrations not being part of the basic group, or maybe it did, and I missed it? thanks I'll take a look.

Thanks, and have a happy Sunday.

no intagrations setting for a new group I just set up

Happy Sunday to all. I just set up a new announce only group. All went well, except I cannot find the integration link. I read using my google foo and the help article says it should be when I click "admin" which I did. I maximized the page as well to make sure it was not that. I also refreshed the page forcibly with shift f5. Here is a of what I'm seeing. I should add the group is free. I don't recall that making a difference in the help article I read.

Thanks so much.

Anonymous Polling

Hello All,

Our group currently has some potentially controversial polls coming up next month. I was wondering if it is possible that the owner of the group, when creating the poll can make it so that whoever (any other member) votes, they can be sure that their vote will be anonymous. Again, so even the group owner does not know how they (the members) voted? Is there already a way to do this? I have not been able to figure it out. If not (for the folks in charge), is it possible to implement that as an option when setting up the poll??

Are there any other group owners who have had this issue come up when sending out a poll? If so, how did you go about it? Any advice?

All help would be greatly appreciated!!

Thank you.
Sincerely,
C. Lensky - Happy and Grateful Groups.io Group Owner

No. Only group members can receive group emails.

Handling a non member message (post) and replies to it

Hello
We received today a post from a non member for moderation, and we decided to publish it.

GroupsIO invited me to add the person as a member, which I declined as I felt that the person had not given me permission to do this
Then, one second after declining, I wondered

"How is the person going to see our reply in the group as we are not a public group"???

So my question is if a non-member is allowed to post a thread and there are replies to that post, does GroupsIO send them the replies by email or something?

I do check the manuals normally before asking but I can't find anything on this.

Thanks

Are you referring to this FAQ about DMARC?? Looking back at my email history, it seems most messages are this way.

I am seeing an issue because of members' messages suddenly being dumped into my Junk mail folder.? This means I need to enter each e-dress into my contacts -- I see no way to whitelist all groups.io messages.? Obviously, this would be onerous to whitelist every member's e-dress!!
I suspect that's a change somewhere in your spam filters.? It's rare that I find anything from Groups.io in my spam/junk folder. My email is hosted via Office 365 and I'm running Outlook 365 as my client.

Re: "From" In group email messages

I use gmail and in webmail put a filter in for the group name in the subject line with the request "Never send it to Spam".
I use Thunderbird as an email client and in there have Message Rules to put group mail into its separate folders.

So not adding people to the address book, but putting in place that group "xyl" (as it appears in subject lines) is not put into the Spam folder.

Any messages showing in the archive should be included in the count of archived messages on the home page. Are you saying they are not?? If you are posting messages and they are not appearing on the archive, then you should check your Activity Log for the reason why. Messages on the archive stay there regardless of whether you choose to make your group visible in the directory.

Just started a new group. While I ma getting it organized and set up it is set to not show up in the directory for the time being.

To that end I am wondering whether the posts I've made so far to this new group ¨Cposts which are not showing up on the home page under archived messages¨C will show up in the archived messages section of the home page once the group is eventually set to show up n the directory.

Though perhaps, a #suggestion to beta@ to have subgroup controls and messages explicitly state subgroup would be something I would support.

A subgroup is virtually a separate entity with settings independent of the main group.? If you click the Lock button in the subgroup settings then that's what it will do, regardless of whether it says group or subgroup in the confirmation prompt.? Once locked, you will see the following where you can unlock it:

You can lock and unlock it as needed so there's no harm in trying.
