Re: Detailed Instructions on How to Conduct a Yahoo Transfer

Your response is huge help.? I recognize the advantage of the stumbling block I¡¯ve encountered, even though it reflects that not all ¡°owners¡± are equal.? He that pays the piper calls the tune ...

We¡¯ll just have to wait until the other owner finishes his travel and can take the next step.

I am one of two owners of our new Groups.io presence.? The other owner is the one who paid the $110 fee.
It doesn't matter who pays the fee, as long as it is paid, and the group thus has the proper payment status (Premium YEARLY).

After receiving Groups¡¯ acceptance of our invitation (Step 14), and promoting [email protected] to Moderator (Step 15), I went to the Step 4 listed transfer page but the ¡°Existing Transfers¡± dropdown is blank, even clicking to actually open it up.? Nothing shows where I expected to see my group¡¯s name.? Consequently, I can¡¯t proceed with Step 16.? Is this another waiting point in the process?
Ah. That's a horse of a different color, as they say. Providing the actual symptoms really helps with troubleshooting.

The same person who started the transfer has to complete it. You cannot switch back and forth, because has no way to map one account to another, even if they both own the group. This has the side benefit of keeping two people from attempting to transfer the same group(s) at the same time.

So assuming you are the one who started all this, and suddenly you can no longer see anything in the Existing Transfers list, it's probably because you're now logged in under a different email address than you were when you started. The email address is the account identifier; and as far as is concerned, those two email addresses are two different people.

Please see the following wiki page:?/g/GroupManagersForum/wiki/Group-Content-Is-Missing? The page does not discuss this in the context of a group transfer, but the concept is the same.

Hope this helps,
Bruce
