Paul be aware that you may also have damaged the main board axes PLD encoder IC. ?It reads these encoder pulses and compares them and switches between 1x and 4x resolution mode. just sayin. Oh

You can replace with HEDS-9100#F00 or HEDS-9140#F00 http://oemsecrets.com may help you find a stockist ¨C looks like Digikey is your best bet.

Hi James, My guess is that it is a coincidence and there is nothing wrong with the actual hardware based on the fact that it slews and GOTOs fine. Maybe you should look at the system that's NQR.?
