Re: G11 SGP auto flip¡.not
Graeme has some good input here It's usually small things that are right on the edge Make sure your Gemini and computer have the same time/date/location coordinates (computer = software settings) Set your flip time well past the meridian - every degree is 15 minutes, so maybe 15-20 minutes-ish? Make sure your western goto is well ahead in time of the flip time Everything works if you are exact in all those settings, but it's never really quite that, so make sure you have plenty of 'padding time' Brian? Re: G11 SGP auto flip¡.not
It usually means that the mount isn't in the "window" for a flip to occur. This might be because the limits/goto limit aren't correct, or possibly if the CWD position or time/date are incorrect, or if you're trying to flip too early (the setting in SGP as to how many minutes past the meridian to try the flip - eg if this is negative).? You also have to make sure you have performed a sync before trying a flip - this is unlikely as you're using SGP, and it does this as part of the centering routines. I thought that log-file sentence about the starting and ending pier side being the same might have been an obvious ¡°tell¡± to what my failure may have been¡. I¡¯m guessing I somehow set the Gemini limits to be on the same side of pier, somehow¡¡. Andy -Everybody wants to be the captain, until there¡¯s captain stuff to do. Re: Gremlin in Gemini I L4 hand controller
Just use the Acrylic sprays. ?Silicon conformal is too expensive for non pro stuff aka this is for avionics of naval electronics. ?

Re: cannot control Gemini from computer
Ok we are lacking information.??? What version Gemini 1 or 2 or mini???
What connection are you trying LAN/RS232 to USB or USB? If using an RS232 to USB what version converter as some chipsets are temperamental.? Buy "Gemini desktop App" I assume you mean Gemini ASCOM Driver?? Sorry but we need more information to progress.?? Glad to help but as said...more info. Oh please use a signature name as it makes it more personnel than addressing or replying to user xyz.? Just forum etiquette. Cheers -- Brendan |

Well blow me down with a feather...there is a database in this forum for such things.?? Unpopulated ...so maybe I should volunteer to do it.

(or cap head) screw.?? Measured from under head to end of thread.?? Usually stainless steel is best.? I'm not endorsing this place to buy just to show you.?? If in USA...easily available. ? For metric nations....a little harder to source.? So, when is USA going metric? ? hahahaha....never! ? Now sit back watch the flame war!
