Rv: Problem to connecto to Gemini... HELP PLEASE!! (forgotten comments)

I forgot it!

I?m trying to connect to the Gemini using a cross-over ethernet cable, but I can not connect to the IP 192.168.0.111. I have configured Windws connection to static IP 192.168.0.110, subnet Mask 255.255.255 .0.....

After differentes attempts changing values on the IP of my Laptop I can not connect... Some advice?

I have tested the cross-over cable, it is ok and when I connect it to the laptop and Gemini, Windows detects the connection..

I will follor trying... I would appreciate your advices very much.. We would want to try to work with this Gemini II tonight at the observatory..

Asunto: [Gemini-II] Problem to connecto to Gemini... HELP PLEASE!!

?

Hallo everybody,

I have redone the SD Card for MainBoard exactly as is showed on the Files section on the group and with the advices of Tom, thanks again Tom..

Now, I have found the next:

After re-install the SD in the Main Board, I have powered it on, wait several time (1 minute).
I have plugged the Hand Control. It turns on correctly and then the message "connecting to Gemini" is showed and anything else happens after some minutes...

Please, advice!!

If the Ethernet port you are using on your PC is gigabit, you do not
need a crossover cable. Gigabit ports must, and some 100Mb ports can, do
automatic detection.

You did not say if your Gemini is configured to use DHCP. If it is, you
have to have a DHCP server to give it an address.

You could install Wireshark on the PC. Sniff
the traffic on that port while you turn the Gemini on to find out what
it is sending.

netscanner (mentioned elsewhere) needs you to know what IP range you
want to check. Wireshark sees everything.

Miguel and Andrew.
The default on the Gemini is DHCP after programming? the flash memory of the processor.? But after 4 seconds, it defaults to static with an address of 192.168.0.111
If his computer is not set up to provide an DHCP address, which is sounds like it is not, then he should be able to find his Gemini 2
at the address of 192.168.0.111? by typing into his browser.
I am thinking that the Gemini did not get programmed correctly.
Miguel, where are you located?? Maybe there are other Gemini 2 owners not far from you
that could help.
