Miguel and Andrew.
The default on the Gemini is DHCP after programming? the flash
memory of the processor.? But after 4 seconds, it defaults to static
with an address of 192.168.0.111
If his computer is not set up to provide an DHCP address, which is
sounds like it is not, then he should be able to find his Gemini 2
at the address of 192.168.0.111? by typing into
his browser.
I am thinking that the Gemini did not get programmed correctly.
Miguel, where are you located?? Maybe there are other Gemini 2
owners not far from you
that could help.

If the Ethernet port you are using on your PC is gigabit,
you do not
need a crossover cable. Gigabit ports must, and some 100Mb
ports can, do
automatic detection.
You did not say if your Gemini is configured to use DHCP.
If it is, you
have to have a DHCP server to give it an address.
You could install Wireshark
on the PC. Sniff
the traffic on that port while you turn the Gemini on to
find out what
it is sending.
netscanner (mentioned elsewhere) needs you to know what IP
range you
want to check. Wireshark sees everything.
