150 watt 23cms linear amplifier for sale by G7NTG

 

This is a W6PQL based 150 watt linear amplifier with 2 stages of driver amplifiers , primarily intended for DATV but will be ok for all modes.
It has high gain, needing only 20mW for full power.?
55dB gain
28 volt 14 amps max.
I am asking ?400 + postage (?30 with full insurance to UK)

My latest 2.4GHz amplifier project using a pallet from bisonelectronics-sp2iyr on Ebay and modified to give 75-80W from a 28 volt supply at 15 amps max and a max drive level of 250mW.
P1dB is around 50-60W at about 31dB gain
(conversion details will be in the next issue of CQ-TV and I will post the article as a file on this site)
Heatsink is PS200/250 from GD Rectifiers
Box is Hammond 1550J (275x175x67)
I used the original semi rigid cables as I had some although I convert most pallets to take SMA so you would still need to make up semi rigid RG-402 cables so as not to put too much
load on the SMA sockets.

I just tested it at 2320MHz and with a cold amplifier , I got 200W for about 25 amps at 28 volts supply. Gain in the linear region up to about 110 watts is 39dB
