Re: Stent in esophagus?

I tried to screw it up, Steffen, but somehow I made it through. I did a couple of other things that I know improved my chances that aren't a part of the protocol. This group is about the protocol and I don't want to distract from that as I know it is effective if you can deal with the diet restrictions, but if you are curious shoot me a personal.

My cancer was nsclc, but I still think there are parallels across the board.

Budwig Musts

Hi all, was wondering if anyone could shed light on the absolute musts when doing the Budwig Protocol. My husband was diagnosed with stage 1 esophageal cancer back in February 2022. Been doing various alternative methods from the beginning and attempting Budwig now. We're having a hard time differentiating between what we must do and what is suggested. My husband is religiously consuming FOCC twice a day and getting 30 minutes of sunlight. No oils (other than flax) almost nothing processed. And we are whole food plant based (vegan). Also wanted to ask if anyone knows if quark 3% is better than 2% cottage cheese? Any information you can share is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Sara

Re: Stent in esophagus?

I didn't have a stent anywhere, but I did have a tumor that was pressing on my throat and vena cava just above the stomach and made swallowing food difficult. I would have to chew food to an almost liquid consistency to get it by. This went on for a few years. That tumor was the last one to go, and it hung around a long time. Not sure if this is relevant to your situation, but I would avoid a stent if at all possible. Perhaps you can get by until the tumor begins to shrink.

Re: Connecting with survivors-Graviola

Hi Ninni, Joost and Others who are mixing Protocols,?

When you begin adding foods, liquids, or supplements that Dr. Budwig did not name in her books, you are risking damaging the success of Dr. Budwig's plan.

For instance, one website states, "Do not take graviola with the Budwig Protocol. The graviola plant, as well as pawpaw, can lower ATP energy and may offset the Budwig diet."

Re: any recommendations for autism

¿ªÔÆÌåÓý

My experience, after doing the 21 day protocol the first time, it did help greatly with my knee pain. It gradually started to return, but not to the level it had been. I had decided I would do the protocol twice a year to detox (my naturopath dr recommended to do it at the spring and fall equinoxes), so after my second round about a month ago, that brought down the pain level again.?

Because the pain slowly started to increase after my first detox, I¡¯m not sure if that means I should continue longer than the 21 days, or if that¡¯s just ¡°the nature of the beast?¡± I don¡¯t know.

Starting low and slow is the key for me, otherwise I tend to get a herx reaction and diarrhea, neither pleasant!

The first time I did the protocol, about a week into it, I was going to climb onto a stool, something I had stopped doing because of my knee pain, I thought I might fall because the pain restricted my mobility and reaction time, but I was in a hurry, so I climbed on the stool, and I realized my knee pain was reduced by about 70%! I almost cried!

My best to you and your wife as you decide if this is something you want to pursue.

Sandy

Re: Budwig vs. keto

I have done Keto, and had no problems achieving ketogenesis. Its basic concept is starving cancer cells by limiting glucose and glutamine. Seyfried's successes with glioblastoma are impressive. Some of the Budwig-approved foods contain glucose or fructose and will feed cancer.

my opinion only,

doug

Re: Connecting with survivors

Hi Joost,?

Here's one link?

You should be able to find also some research on this website? Also other herbal remedies for treating the cancer. They have protocols for different cancers!

I have been taking Bulk-essiac tea now 5 months and can recommend that too. Also high doses of iodine and Dr Brownstein¡¯s protocol. I added graviola tea to my protocol 30 days ago.?
It's been effective! I have had healing symptoms. One should continue the graviola tea 2-3 months and some 5-10 days breaks in between are recommended.?

I didn't take a break yet.

Best wishes,?

Ninni?

Re: Cottage cheese substitute

Budwig originally specified the use of Quark, NOT cottage cheese.? Cottage cheese is a substitute, since Quark is not readily available in the US.? Here is what Wikipedia says about Quark: "Quark?or?quarg?is a type of fresh??made from milk. The milk is?, usually by adding??cultures, and strained once the desired??is achieved."? In other words, if you make or buy yogurt, then strain it to reduce the moisture content, you end up with Quark, which is what Budwig originally used.? So yes, you can use it to make FOCC.

Agree Rod.....my 11 years now with Budwig, I have used Daisy-Low-Fat...three ingredients....cultured skim milk, cream and salt.
Only a guess.....but I think the? majority of the people thru the years on Budwig used regualr cottage cheese or made their own.
I remember Dana Mills saying she made her own cottage cheese.
Trying to find an organic cottage cheese can be daunting for many and certainly can be more expensive..
