The Number One reason people froze to death is because the Texas power grid is not connected to other grids that could have provided backup.? The Number Two reason is because the grid is privatized—inevitably underinvested in as the quest by private industry for more and more of the almighty dollar goes on and on—and was badly underinvested in and so underprepared.?
