Two paperwork tasks need to be
completed. Below are quotes my Nov 5 email:
(1) Previously, I have said that Doug needed
address for the undeveloped lots, but today he said he would be
satisfied knowing how many undeveloped lots there are between
the existing houses. The wants the mailbox doors to be in the
same order as the lots in Fairfield Estates.
(2) He needs the names of all people who will
receive mail at each address in Fairfield Estates (and perhaps
their present PO Box – I’m not sure about that but can find
out.). This information needs to go to Phoenix to be put into
the USPS system. He said this might take as little as three
weeks.
I thought contractor was going to do
everything, but apparently not. Who is going to do the paperwork?
I'm willing if authorized.

Ken, the slab has room for two more parcel boxes because of your email.? I would appreciate you securing the parcel boxed for us. What do the other board members think about delegating authority to Ken to pursue this??

Jimmy, I reported that the Postmaster said he
would give us
two parcel lockers nearly two months ago (Nov 5) in an email
with the subject “Schedule
for Mailboxes?”. In that same email I volunteered to get all the
paperwork done
for the mailboxes that week, but got no response. If there were
no plans for
additional parcel lockers on the slab, there may not now be
room. I will be
happy to talk to the Postmaster again and do the paperwork, if
I’m authorized to
do it.

One of my fantasies has been
having the mailboxes in service by Christmas. I
think it would be a great Christmas present for
the community, plus we wouldn’t have to stand in
line at the Post Office to pick up packages. Since
the schedule for bringing the mailboxes into
service seems to be some closely guarded secret, I
talked to Doug Hover the Postmaster today to get
some information.
Doug said the USPS would give
us two 4-door parcel lockers, which is fantastic!
I don’t know how that was handled in the bid for
the mailbox installations.
Two types of paperwork need to

I asked him if it was possible
for the mailboxes to be in service before
Christmas, and he replied he would do his part as
fast as possible. So, he didn’t say yes, but he
didn’t rule it out.
I don’t know the schedule of
the contractor for doing the two tasks mentioned
above. Maybe the contractor plans to do this soon.
If not, I’ll willing to do those and give the
information to the contractor by the end of next
week as service to the community.
My intent is not to rock the
boat, rather it’s to move the mailboxes along as
quickly as possible. I know some in the community
don’t mind going to the Post Office, but
personally, I can find better things to do,
especially at Christmas time.
To me, how quickly the mailbox
project moves along should be up to the community.
Maybe I’m out of step with the community wanting
them to be in service before Christmas if possible
(and we don’t know for sure that is possible). If
no one cares about the schedule besides me, that’s
fine too. I’ve given it a good shot and will drop
it.

Hi All,
If you drove down Fairfield this
afternoon, you probably noticed the first signs of the
mailbox site being developed. No one is happier, perhaps
no one is as happy, as me. Thank you, Board!
One of my fantasies has been having
the mailboxes in service by Christmas. I think it would
be a great Christmas present for the community, plus we
wouldn’t have to stand in line at the Post Office to
pick up packages. Since the schedule for bringing the
mailboxes into service seems to be some closely guarded
secret, I talked to Doug Hover the Postmaster today to
get some information.
Doug said the USPS would give us two
4-door parcel lockers, which is fantastic! I don’t know
how that was handled in the bid for the mailbox
installations.
Two types of paperwork need to be
completed.
(1) Previously, I have said that Doug
needed address for the undeveloped lots, but today he
said he would be satisfied knowing how many undeveloped
lots there are between the existing houses. The wants
the mailbox doors to be in the same order as the lots in
Fairfield Estates.
(2) He needs the names of all people
who will receive mail at each address in Fairfield
Estates (and perhaps their present PO Box – I’m not sure
about that but can find out.). This information needs to
go to Phoenix to be put into the USPS system. He said
this might take as little as three weeks.
I asked him if it was possible for
the mailboxes to be in service before Christmas, and he
replied he would do his part as fast as possible. So, he
didn’t say yes, but he didn’t rule it out.
I don’t know the schedule of the
contractor for doing the two tasks mentioned above.
Maybe the contractor plans to do this soon. If not, I’ll
willing to do those and give the information to the
contractor by the end of next week as service to the
community.
My intent is not to rock the boat,
rather it’s to move the mailboxes along as quickly as
possible. I know some in the community don’t mind going
to the Post Office, but personally, I can find better
things to do, especially at Christmas time.
To me, how quickly the mailbox
project moves along should be up to the community. Maybe
I’m out of step with the community wanting them to be in
service before Christmas if possible (and we don’t know
for sure that is possible). If no one cares about the
schedule besides me, that’s fine too. I’ve given it a
good shot and will drop it.
Best,
Ken

much of the Board to give us an approximate date when
we might actually expect to receive mail in the
mailboxes and to give us progress reports once a
month? That doesn’t sound like much of a burden on the
Board to me.
As you know, I volunteered my help

Nevertheless, thanks again for your

No one has yet contacted me

that can be done well before the boxes are

months to the get the names and addresses in
