Re: Selling off my Shack / HF Rigs, Amp, Accs.
Just to be sure I'm clear, I meant to physically visit the location of the seller and see the equipment in operations. Also, paypal is my friend. LOL One other thing to check is the seller's feedback.

You¡¯re spot on, except that #5 should be ¡°1 or more.¡± The imaginary equipment can just as easily be sold multiple times. No reason to disappoint the second or third willing buyer. -Les W6VN

Obviously you completely spaced out the part where I said I would only do this if I could visit the site first and see the equipment and pay in cash. Please don't insult me again,

I feel the Morse character gen is not musical. Only adjustment available is the weight and dot dash ratio. Of course One can use an external keyer like K3NG (which I tried) and so. I am using HRD last

Yes you're right. It never hurts to be very very cautious. Here's a thought along those lines... If they're selling everything why isn't there an ad on Ebay and on Craigslist? Something like this I'd

Re: Selling off my Shack / HF Rigs, Amp, Accs.
Scam comes up every so often. Lots of high end stuff and want to get out of the hobby. Almost always an Elecraft in the mix. Have reasons not to take Paypal. Make a better deal if you deal direct.

I looked up the license number and it comes up as Roberto Miranda and just because he's a tech doesn't mean he doesn't have enough money to buy the stuff in the first place. There's any number of

Re: strange issue
You seem to have a short in your radio! My thought is the power supply senses too much current demand from radio and shuts down, then it resets attempts to again and once again shuts down

Clean the fuse clips that connect to the fuses and replace the fuses at the same time. Common problem with these type of fuse holders.

What sort of value of "too much power", Andy? Would the current be similar to the normal current under Transmit condition? After checking the DC lead and fuses as already suggested, check anything

Re: strange issue
As N4MF stated, I would start with checking the fuses and fuse holders. If that does not reveal the problem, then look at the components upstream until you find the culprit.?James B Stafford
