Interesting solution: I uploaded the programming into RTSystems programmer and found errors in programming (¡°DCS¡± activated rather than ¡°Tone¡± for example). I changed the programming? to the correct settings and downloaded it back into the radio and it works on the repeaters I tried including the ones that wouldn¡¯t work at the event on Saturday. Why I couldn¡¯t get it to work by manually programming, I don¡¯t know! There may be a problem with the ¡°A¡± button on the radio multifunction row D. OR it may just be operator error someplace in the setup! It could be that I should reset it to factory settings and start over since I have the RTS programming saved. If I can find how to do that.
Thanks for the idea of disconnecting and reconnecting the cable, Ted. I will do that too! So obvious that I should have thought of it myself. Sort of like the old story ¡°Did you plug it in¡±
Try disconnecting and reconnecting both ends of the cable between the main body of the radio and the head multiple times, just in case there's a bit of oxidation present. Let us know if, and how, you get this issue resolved. Thanks! Ted KE4NBB
