Try a different cable. If the problem persists your might have a bad control head. Replacements are readily available.

Thanks k1prc.? I did as you advised.? Removed the cover, blew out the dust with a can of air, inspected what I could see and reassembled.? It worked..for a minute.? But, it didn't last and went back to my original complaint.

All top row buttons except DSP button inoperative. Will not change modes or bands. Anyone have an idea on this? Please advise.
