Using RigBlaster Advantage - on Raspberry Pi or Windows - keying mic misbehaves

I have a RigBlaster Advantage connected to my 857? - when the RigBlaster Advantage is connected to an HP Laptop - I am quite successful - Mic works properly (if I want to make a voice contact), and WSJT-X (for example) works great.

When I instead connect to a Headless PC running Windows (an Eagle4 from Prima Luce Lab) or to a Raspberry Pi - keying the mic does not initiate transmit on the radio. Releasing the Mic initiates transmit - and it stays transmitting (red light on 857 lights and stays on). Using WSJT-X - when the radio should start transmitting - nothing happens, at the end of the transmission, the red transmit light goes on and stays on.

Note that WSJT-X decodes data great on all three computers - up until (on two of them) the radios initiates transmit.

The headless PC has had a few issues that I have worked through - in particular some 'policies' that I had to tweak.?

I am baffled (and not in a good way)
