I won't change my oil filled cap either, I think the consensus is that they are OK as is.?
Just wanted to 'close the loop' on this from an Archive point of view.. and not leave some perceived Fake News or Disinformation on the topic.
Mine had a wee bit of stuff around the seam but once I wiped it off it has not returned after about 9 months of sitting and waiting for Cap surgery.
