Re: Information wanted on a panel meter, Johnson part # 22.2338..

Mike Hello
?? Oh Thank You !! Any help in identifying the part is totally appreciated !! ? I havn't heard from you ( I sent a couple of emails) and was wondering if you are ok !! Feel free to send the VFO along anytime you are thinking about it...
?? This meter might be a one-off:? it showed up on ebay and I was wondering if its a one of a kind or something we might be able to use... The seller claimed its a 5 ma movement, has a Johnson logo face, markings and case. I think it might be a Ranger II movement but I wanted to be sure ...? so I got curious...
??? Nice and quiet here in Western Oregon,? fall is dripping in and the sun has mostly taken the winter off... Suits me just fine.
I'm doing well, Ebay is slow but steady... I'm spending more time working with Radio Daze for graphics used on the Rangers and helping them get Johnson meter face reproductions posted on their site... Sure, its commercial but I believe in paying things forward and if the graphics they post might help someone who is restoring a Johnson transmitter, then I'm ok and happy ...
?? I'm glad you have a "winter project"...I was wondering how the Valiant was coming along

Hi Ashley,
I¡¯m in Albuquerque this week, but I may be able to help you after I get home early next week. ?I have one of those Johnson ¡°manual compendiums¡± on DVD¡±, and it shouldn¡¯t be too hard to scan the parts lists to see if I have a hit. ?That is, assuming that the meter isn¡¯t a one-off part made for a custom piece of gear.

BTW, how are things in WA? ?Things are OK around here. ?I just got a Collins 30S-1 amp that will be my snow project this winter. ?I just happened to remember that I need to send you the Valiant VFO for the rebuild. ?I got the wiring harness all built, and then I got sidetracked on something else. ?I haven¡¯t gotten the cabinet painted either, so it¡¯s not like the VFO isn¡¯t holding up the project.

I¡¯ll be in touch with any data I can find on the meter number.
Mike
