Re: Joseph, “Job, Jobe,” Daniel and Elizabeth Calaway DNA match to William of Cedar Creek

Hello, Beverly!

I have been researching the Joseph "Job" Daniel/Elizabeth Callaway branch for a few years now. I would love to join you in your research.

There is some confusion on Ancestry & elsewhere as to whether my 3rd great grandfather, William Mack Daniel (1805-1890), was the son or grandson of this couple. In Elizabeth Callaway's Revolutionary War pension application, there is a letter written in 1853 from Elizabeth's son, William Daniel, from Lawrenceburg, TN. The William that was married to Argent had already died by 1853, & William Mack Daniel was living in Lawrence County, TN, at this time. However, another theory is that William Mack Daniel (along with John Buckley Daniel, 1809-1860) was the son of Job & Elizabeth's son John (1789-), who was married to Avis.?

My mother & I have both tested with Ancestry. We are also on Gedmatch, FamilyTreeDNA & WikiTree. I look forward to hearing back from you!
