And don't forget the small blue numbers applied to the sideframes of most, if not all, of the 5000's in the late 1960's.??

?? While looking at images of Rs-3s and Rs-11/36s I
noticed some changes. At first, it appears there were no side
numbers. At some point, the side numbers were added. There were two
styles, Railroad Roman and Gothic. So when were the side numbers
added, and was there a plan to which loco received which lettering?
Many, if not all of the 6-axel power received yellow numbers near
the radiator exhaust. Did others receive the yellow numbers?
Lastly, when did the D&H start applying the large side
numbers?
