Hi Terry.? I bought several of these couplers online a few years ago. They fit my Dalton spindle.? I don't recall what I had in mind for them, as I have an original spindle protector somewhere. Anyway, I found them by searching for couplers with the relevant thread specification.? I think they are a standard item for the forks of custom motorcycle builds.? Let me know if you can't find them and I will try to retrace my steps, though it was a while ago.

No Chris the spindle nose on the Lot 2 3 4 and 5 are all the
same.? I may have just given a bit of extra clearance on for the registration shoulder
behind the thread.? When the spindles are brand new the OD of the thread will
be the same diameter as the registration shoulder but over the years of use the
threads tend to wear down so they seem smaller in diameter than? the registration
shoulder.
Received one of Dennis' spindle nose protectors.? It's
currently the nicest part of my Dalton.?
Thanks for making them available, Dennis.
I noticed the ID has stepped threads with the smaller set fitting my
spindle.? Is this so it fits the Lots 3-5 with the smaller threads and the
lot 6 with the larger or is there another reason ?
