INSTRUCTIONS:
list of 5 items
1. Roast the garlic: Preheat your oven to 400¡ãF (200¡ãC). Slice off the top of the garlic head to expose the individual cloves. Drizzle the exposed garlic
with a little olive oil and wrap it in aluminum foil. Roast in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the garlic is soft and caramelized. Remove
from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes.
2. Prepare the garlic bread spread: While the garlic is roasting, slice the loaf of bread in half lengthwise. In a small bowl, combine the softened butter,
olive oil, and fresh herbs (if using). Squeeze the roasted garlic cloves out of their skins and mash them into the butter mixture until smooth and well-combined.
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
3. Spread the mixture: Evenly spread the roasted garlic butter mixture onto the cut sides of the bread. If desired, sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese on
top for extra flavor.
4. Toast the bread: Place the garlic bread halves on a baking sheet, cut-side up. Bake in the oven at 400¡ãF (200¡ãC) for 10-12 minutes, or until the bread
is golden brown and the edges are crispy. For extra crispiness, you can broil the bread for the last 1-2 minutes.
5. Serve: Remove the garlic bread from the oven and sprinkle with freshly chopped parsley for garnish. Slice into individual pieces and serve hot.
