If you think the original speaker can be saved, the best re-foaming place I've used is http://millersound.net
You can e-mail them and see if they can rescue the previous bad job. Bill is very helpful

Sell them on as they are not correct and they will most certainly voice the dq10 differently.

I have this pair of DQ-10's I've been getting ready to restore/rebuild. One of the woofers has had the foam surround redone and they did what looks to me like a terrible job. The other one looks original as far as I can tell.
Online I found what was described as a fully rebuilt pair of DQ-10 woofers so I bought them thinking it would save me time and trouble. Now that I'm getting ready to start working on these things the woofers aren't the same. The frame and magnet are the same - but it's a full 12" woofer. Even though they are a direct fit I'm guessing these are a no-go for the DQ-10?
Here are some photos. Original on top, purchased on bottom:
Thoughts? Do I try them or is this just a complete no-go? I'm guessing they will sound very different than the originals. I looked online and have not been able to find a pair that looks the same - even on old advents.
