Many refoam kits include thin plastic cards to use as spacers. If you don¡¯t happen to have these, I imagine you might be able to make some out of heavy paper. Depending on the voice coil gap, cutting up a notecard might work.

As mentioned in other places the replacement inverted roll foam pulls the spider up from neutral necessitating a spacer. Is that a DIY project or does somebody have a side gig making and selling them?
