Import Special event call log into my log
+ AA6YQ comments below
I worked a state QSO Pty with a special event call and want to now import that into my log and upload to LotW. I already have a LotW certificate setup for the 1x1 call I used. Any help is appreciated. + See <> + or click one of DXKeeper's Help buttons and then navigate to the "Importing ADIF and Tab-delimited Files" topic. + Check out the available "Import Options" to see if any are needed given the content of the ADIF file you are importing: <> + Before importing, backup your log (Configuration window, Log tab, Backup button); this will provide a quick "undo" capability if the import doesn't go as expected, or you choose to re-import with a different set of options enabled. + If you have questions after you review the documentation, don't hesitate to post them here. + "Measure twice, cut once". 73, Dave, AA6YQ |
I should clarify that I don't have any issue with the Import function and have done so before.? It is the fact these QSOs were done under the call N0S which was assigned to me for the contest and not my call N0LF.? I can't seem to get it to work.
I've imported the QSO's I've setup a station location for NOS, but it pulls call N0FY ( I'm guessing because N0S is a temporary and a sub certificate to N0FY) I then have filtered the log for this set of QSOs and using the? Add All option it is ready to generate 733 entries.? But it then fails because the call sign is not N0FY.? I know there should be a way to make this work, I'm just not getting there. Any help is appreciated. |
On the import function, look at the Replacement Options panel at the bottom. Check the box, and enter the necessary call, for the Station Callsign, Operator Callsign, and Owner Callsign. You'll want to turn off the checkboxes in the substitution panel to substitute your callsign for missing values, if they are checked. 73, Mike ND9G On Tue, Apr 7, 2020 at 10:11 AM Tom Brown <brownmoonster@...> wrote: I should clarify that I don't have any issue with the Import function and have done so before.? When you imported the contest log, did you *check* the Station Callsign

box in the "Replacement Options" filed and enter "N0S"? Did you *ALSO* *UNCHECK* the "substitute N0FY for missing station callsigns" box in the "Substitution Options" field if it is checked? When you export the contest QSOs for LotW, do their "Station Callsign" say "N0S"? When you export the contest QSOs for LotW, does the "Station Callsign" in the "LotW Operations" field on the QSL tab say "N0S"? 73, ... Joe, W4TV On 2020-04-07 11:11 AM, Tom Brown wrote:

I did not check the replacement options.? The log imported with Station Call: N0S; Op Call: N0S and Owner Call; N0S
I didn't check substitute N0FY for missing callsigns, but I'm guessing there weren't any missing based on the sentence above. I believe the QSOs for LoTW do say N0S. I'm guessing I need to reimport with the replacement options: Station Call N0FY; Operator Call N0S and Owner Call N0FY. Is this how everyone sees it? |
Station Call is the call used to identify the station on the air (N0S)

Operator Call is the call sign of the person operating the station (N0FY) Owner Call is the call sign of the owner of the station (N0FY) In LotW, the signing certificate should be a certificate for the Station Call (N0S), with location information (grid square, state, county) appropriate to the location of the station used. 73, Rich VE3KI On Wed, Apr 8, 2020 at 09:27 AM, Tom Brown wrote: I did not check the replacement options.? I'm getting closer but not a winner yet.? Any ideas?
I've reimported with the Station, Operator and Owner Call: N0S, N0FY, N0FY There were still problems as it wouldn't recognize N0S. I went back to TQSL and generated a Station Location with the N0S certificate (new from before) Then updated QTH tab with the Location and call for this operation Then filtered log by this QSO party Then did the Station Location replace in My QTH Did a test upload of several Qs using the right mouse click on the Log window and they went fine. Added all of these to the Que and did an Upload to LotW operration I get back 2 of 733 QSOs are already uploaded; aborted?? No QSOs were processed because some were duplicates or invalid. How to fix?? |
I get back 2 of 733 QSOs are already uploaded; aborted No QSOs wereIt's likely that those 2 QSOs were in your test upload. On the QSL ->LotW tab, click the "QSL Config" button and check the "Permit uploading of QSOs already uploaded to LotW" box. This setting will automatically be cleared after the first upload. 73, ...
