I use a Keyspan single port USB-to-serial adaptor with my laptop
(running XP) and with my Vista test system; it works well in both
configurations.
I use a VSCOM 8-port USB-to-serial adaptor on my primary
development/operations PC (running XP); it too works flawlessly.
VSCOM also makes 2-port and 4-port units.

Has anyone tried the USB to Serial adapters? I've used them for
different applications and they've done fine.
I just upgraded the ham radio computer (beneficiary of a major
upgrade to the main computer in my office/shack) and the new ham
computer only has one serial port. I need two for the control of my
radio. So the consideration is the USB to Serial route. I've got
plenty of available USB ports.
