Re: WA8AJS, Jeff's Mod for TR7 to Lower Power Output
It seems technically sound but IMO it is a solution in search of a problem. For decades hams have just reduced output by turning the mic gain down and it works fine. A separate power level control can

Re: I¡¯ll leave this here...
Ah, so this was a test? :) How come no one has commented on the accuracy of the scale over the range vs. the original? The scale was calibrated to the non-linearity of the sensor. 73 -Jim NU0C "Steve

That would save a lot of issues but I am sure the cost of that service is not cheap. I guess that is why I am seeing more ham gear on craigs list for really low prices and at the local

Re: Large amount of Drake gear in latest Schulman web auction
My understanding is that the Schulman action process will make arrangements to pick up all your stuff, pack it, and transport it to their main facility. 73, Gary H. Harmon, Jr. - K5JWK - HAM Radio,

Re: Need Crystal freq. for 28.5 mhz in TR4C
Greg: The TR-4C was *originally *supplied with a 43.0 Mhz xtal for that range. Back in the '70's there was far more activity above 28.5 than there is now. The 42.5 Mhz xtal for 28.0 - 28.6 (+++)
