That makes good sense.
Different products for different purposes - one for the
electrical
contact surfaces, the other for mechanical areas.

My go-to cleaner for old radios is
isopropyl alcohol.? And *lots* of
Q-tips.
If there are ink stamps on the chassis, you might need
to be careful -
alcohol
can dissolve ink. If you purge wafer switches, you
should re-lubricate
them.
DeOxit D100 excels at this.
