This offset is done by a switched in capacitor so it is not precisely 1KHz, if you have another receiver you could listen and determine what
it really is on your rig. (or use a frequency counter)

1KHz is pretty high, normally you would like it lower like Steve.? The TR-4CW-RIT solves that problem.? So does operating the 4-line separates
by operating in separate mode.
