All TR-4s and all T-4Xs shift the CW carrier, and its very close to 1KHz.? If you want to be on the other stations frequency, you need to tune
his note to 1KHz.

This offset is done by a switched in capacitor so it is not precisely 1KHz, if you have another receiver you could listen and determine what
it really is on your rig. (or use a frequency counter)

1KHz is pretty high, normally you would like it lower like Steve.? The TR-4CW-RIT solves that problem.? So does operating the 4-line separates
by operating in separate mode.
