One other issue I noticed, I can slightly hear my voice in my
speaker when transmitting.
Has anyone encountered this situation? If so are there any suggestions to eliminate this problem? Or is there any more information I need to provide?

Or you can just crank the RF Gain all the way down to silence the RX.

The volume pot doesn't go all the way to zero. If you can find the part, you can change the pot.
