Thanks. I guess I need another washer between the C clip and the wave washer. The wave washer is not "thick" enough to put pressure on the back of the KHz dial. It just flops around. And it also hits the front panel before it makes any resistance to the KHz disk.

Jim, the earlier sets use a completely different system.? The earlier sets (including the B's) have a single shaft to the PTO, with a single dial for reading frequency to the nearest 25 kHz, with graduations on the knob skirt for reading to the nearest 1 kHz.? The skirt, which is held in place by a wave washer pressing against a circlip that's mounted on the shaft.? The skirt can be slipped on the shaft to calibrate the frequency.

The C Line uses two discs and has no calibration marks on the skirt (though there is a dimple to indicate rotation by touch).? There are concentric shafts that synch the PTO frequency to the readout that are coupled by that bushing.

If you have an R-4B, there is no need for the bushing.

Is this the same for the R4B as well?

Thanks
