Re: TR7 power amp +13.8 and ground leads

Bill Carver

I've checked the PA assembly outside the TR7 and now want to put it back into the radio. But I removed it 30+ years ago and don't remember how the power leads were connected. The wires were snipped off with just some residual solder.

No question of polarity/color, etc. This is just a mechanical question. The PA PCB power connection pads have plenty of solder, but appears under the solder there might be eyelets swaged top and bottom to the PCB. Their inside diameter is a very tight it for for the heavy (#12-#14?) red/black wires coming from the power connector. Although tight, I think the wires can fit into the holes.

But if there are not eyelets in the board there is risk of mechanically damaging the amplifier PCB. thought I better ask what the factory connection was rather than do something wrong. Feedback someone? Picture?
