The same problem can arise with a
DIN socket. Poking a piece of copper wire into
each pin-socket in turn and using a hot iron quickly on a clean
tag worked well.

(pointed nose) on each pin that I soldered and that seemed to
help. ?I clipped it on the base if there was room, from ?the
