Re: Sqelch Open attached to VOLUME DOWN in Schematic
That's the only properly supported way Allstarlink/HamVoIP's SimpleUSB driver does PTT. The DINAH and other interfaces like it just converts that to essentially a continuous volume down press. I

Re: Sqelch Open attached to VOLUME DOWN in Schematic
I¡¯m not convinced that Direwolf is the problem. The electrical design of DINAH connects the squelch logic signal to the Volume Down pin. For example, this gets used for the volume up and down

Re: Sqelch Open attached to VOLUME DOWN in Schematic
We're using the DINAH interface for Direwolf in an APRS appliance for the Appalachian Trail Golden Packet event in an attempt to reduce our reliance on Kenwood APRS radios (specifically the D710).?

Sqelch Open attached to VOLUME DOWN in Schematic
So I'm hitting the standard problem in Windows that Pin6 of the DIN is connected to the VOLDN pin on the CM119B in DINAH. This results in the volume being turned down every time the squelch opens on

COS, was Re: [DINAH] COMPREHENSIVE LIST OF COMPATIBLE RADIOS?
Speaking of that: Can the TM-G707 be configured to use squelch to drive COS rather than carrier? Somehow, I doubt it. If not, do you know of a hardware mod for either that radio or the TM-D700A to

Kenwood TKR-750 Repeater
When using a Kenwood TKR-750 repeater, should the actual repeater be set up for duplex, or repeat?? ? And was there a parameter in the Allstar Pi controller to act as full duplex repeater

Re: Dinah Problem
Check solder joints. Look for solder Bridges...transistors, diodes or IC's installed backwards. After that break out the scope or logic analyzer. Trace +5 from the USB to all parts on the board. Trace

Re: Radios w/o a packet port
Indeed you adjust DINAH sound levels on Raspberry OS using alsamixer. Works fine. As you note, the DINAH is just a USB sound card which can also generate PTT from a sound card GPIO pin.
