RX-CS capabiilty?
Hey there, I was wondering if anyone had a good way of dealing with the RX-CS functionality that an 880, 92ad, ID-51, etc has with an ID-1? Why? We've installed a 23cm repeater deck on the W4FJ

Home made Duplexers
Alan Knutson WB0ZKB has been making 1.2G duplexers and triplexers for us out of 4¡± aluminum square tubing. The cans are about 4 ? inches high. We need to get an article published on how he does

Re: Duplexer modification
Thanks for the input guys. I have been to the manufacturers web page, sadly no can length is given, I do not blame them for that. My desire is to push the bottom of the can in to the correct length,

Re: Duplexer modification
The loops in the cavities and the phasing lines between cavities are also the wrong lengths. We have had good luck returning 440 MHz cavities on their 3rd harmonics for 1270 MHz repeaters.?? Start

Duplexer modification
I have a 800 mHz tx/rx duplexer that I would like to push to 23cm for a D-star repeater. Can anyone tell me the actual length of the tx/rx tripexer cans? I am not sure if this is even possible but

Re: Icom D-STAR Infrastructure Program
As of Nov 1 this program has been unexpectedly high, per ICOM, and they are currently 2 months backlogged on the ship date for current. ICOM is still accepting orders, until 12/21/13, but there is

Re: DD vs Repeater
There are NMO mounts and there are NMO mounts. There are several that are rated to 6 GHz. I don't have any sophisticated analyzers, but my power meter and Bird 43 think they are OK. Buddy

DD vs Repeater
To answer the question George posed, the DD mode RP-2D is ideal for high speed data. Think about it as a data satellite. In our area, some of the best commercial real estate sites have river views-

So what's a matter with NMO mounts? About all I've seen is that and UHF mounts for mobile usage.? Sly n5gqb

Re: 23cm D-Star HT
Last I checked the UK was having trouble getting licenses/authorization for 23cm -- but Icom USA was going to continue the product. The full repeater is a good idea, but you may have to detune

DD Mode at the Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon 2013

Re: 23cm D-Star HT
I agree, although it shouldn't require a second radio. There's no reason that I can think of, that server software couldn't just queue and echo ("store and forward") incoming (over the air) packets
