Re: ID-1 with Win 7 64 bit

This situation is crazy, I have concerns Icom has little or no intention of producing a driver for 64bit and that subject is a real thorn in my side as well.... Any comments please ?

A response would also be appreciated here.

Thanks,

James?? VK2JN

I've read all the previous posts but it's not clear to me if anyone has successfully gotten the ID-1 driver to install with Windows 7 64 bit.

If you have actually done this, and not theoretically, will you please describe your exact steps and send me the driver files if necessary.

I've tried fiddling with the latest FTDI driver files and editing the the ID-1 installer file without success.

Thank you in advance.

Re: D-STAR Activity at Friedrichshafen Hamfest?

PS. There was also some news announced about the D-Star ICC. Here are some pictures from the presentations and of some of the homebrew D-Star hardware:

...there is also a pic of DB0COM but it doesn't seem to have a 1.2 GHz DD deck in the stack.

The xReflector people had a repeater running, the details of that are below.

"Auf unserem Stand auf der Ham Radio in Friedrichshafen wird unser
xREPEATER mit drei Modulen QRV sein ...
Hier die Frequenzen...

DB0HAM B 438,450 MHz mit 7,6MHz Ablage
DB0HAM D 438,4625 MHz mit 7,6MHz Ablage
DB0HAM C 145,775MHz mit 0,6MHz Ablage
DB0HAM G Gateway am weltweiten xTrust System"

Also Jan DO1FJN had a some old C-Netz analog phones converted to D-Star
on the same stand. (For non-Northern European hams see this for what
C-Netz was: ).

I didn't go looking for any D-Star presentations so I don't know if
there were any. But there didn't seem to be much about D-Star apart from
the main Icom stand. What was surprising was how many people had an Icom
E92 handy with them. I would say that it was possibly the most popular
handy I saw all weekend.

23cm D-STAR Net Time Proposal

23cm D-STAR Users -

A while back I queried the group about possible times for a 23cm D-STAR net.

Since this net would be world-wide there is no perfect time,
but giving this some thought I do have a suggestion of a potential time that might be feasible for many.

I'm thinking that 2100 or 2200 UTC(GMT) on Saturday might be a good time.
This time would be during the daytime in North America & the East Pacific, Saturday evening in western & central Europe
and Sunday morning in Australia, New Zealand, east Asia & the west Pacific.
In fact, 2200 UTC would make the net not so early in the morning in Australia & East Asia, but of course would be little later in the evening in Europe.

The net could be hosted on a local reflector REF001B.

I'm not always available at that time of day so I would prefer that others be the primary & secondary net controls.

Please let me know what you think of these times & if you would be interested in being a net control.

Thanks.
