Dropper Tool Left click on your tube to pick a Medium color for your Foreground Right click to pick a Lighter color from the same Hue for your Background 4. Image > Resize Settings: Resample using = Smart Size Lock aspect ratio = Checked Resize all layers = Checked Width = No more than 300 Pixels Height = No more than 425 Pixels *Optional 5. Adjust > Sharpness > Sharpen 6. Activate your ACFC Hearts Aboard Pattern (you may choose to duplicate this pattern if you wish to use the tutorial again) 7. Transmission Blocks ?DaBratsDesigns :2007: Supplies Needed: PSP I wrote this in 9, other versions will work well with this tutorial Tube & Accent of Choice VM Extravaganza xero Fritillary Preparation: Open and install or place filters in your psp plugins folder Open tube and accent in psp, duplicate close originals. Open animation shop as well Let's begin! 1) Highlight tube Resize to no more than 325-350 pixels in width or height. Settings: Resample using =bicubic, lock aspect ratio =checked, resize all layers =checked. 2) Dropper tool left click on your tube, choose a light color, set it to your foreground. right click and choose a medium-dark color, set it to your background 3) File, New image 500 x 500, transparent 4) Flood fill tool, fill with white, or color of choice from your tube 5) Apply favorite texture or plugin 6) Effects, image effects, seamless tile at default settings 7) Preset shapes tool, Ellipse Settings: Show nodes & create on vector, checked line style =solid Anti-alias checked 8) Materials palette, foreground set to null, background should still be your medium-dark color 9) Draw out a circle in the middle of your working canvas, Like so 10) Objects, align, center in canvas 11) Layers, convert to raster layer 12) Effects, plugins, VM Extravaganza,Transmission Settings: 13) Effects, texture effects, blinds Settings: Width =2, opacity =55, color =Medium color of choice Light from left/top checked 14) Effects, 3-D effects, Drop shadow Settings: V & H =2, opacity =45, blur =10, color =black, shadow on new layer unchecked 15) Repeat Drop Shadow but with V & H -2 16) Materials palette, set foreground back to color(Un-null) Toggle or switch foreground and background colors, Foreground set to null 17) Ellipse shape again, Draw another circle inside of the original, covering the lighter part of the circle, Circle should now be in your light color, like so 18) Objects, align, center in canvas 19) Layers, convert to raster layer 20) Layers, duplicate 21) Highlight layer 3 Image, resize Settings: 80%, resample using bicubic, lock aspect ratio checked, resize all layers Unchecked 22) Hide raster layer 3, highlight top layer 23) Magic wand, Settings: Mode =Add/(Shift), match mode =RGB value, tolerance =0, feather =0, Anti-alias checked, inside checked Click on the inside of your small circle 24) Selections, modify, expand =3 pixels 25) Fill this selection with your medium-dark color, or another color from your tube Select none 26) Highlight raster layer 3, apply favorite, plugin or texture 27) Apply same drop shadow 28) Edit, copy your tube,edit, paste as new layer onto your working canvas 29) Layers, arrange, bring to top 30) Move tool, move your tube over to the left or right of the very first circle. :See example above for placement: 31) Apply drop shadow of choice 32) Add your text to the same center circle 33) Apply drop shadow 34) Edit, copy your accents, paste as new layer onto your working canvas place to your liking 35) Add your water mark 36) Highlight copy of raster layer 3 re-name this layer as mini blocks 37) Duplicate this layer twice for a total of three 38) Rename the other two copies of mini blocks, mini blocks 2 and mini blocks 3 39) Highlight the first mini blocks layer 40) Effects, plugins, Xero Fritillary Settings: 41) Repeat drop shadows 42) Highlight mini blocks 2 43) Effects, plugins, Xero fritillary same settings, except change Variation to 17 44) Repeat drop shadow 45) Highlight mini blocks 3 46) Effects, plugins,Xero fritillary, same settings, except change variaton to 19 47) Repeat drop shadow 48) Hide mini blocks 2 & 3, 49) Edit copy merged 50) Go to animation shop, Edit, paste as new animation. 51) Go back to psp 52) Hide mini blocks 1, unhide mini blocks 2, highlight 53) Edit, copy merged 54) Back to animation shop, click edit, paste after current frame 55) Back to psp 56) Hide mini blocks 2, unhide mini blocks 3, highlight 57) Edit, copy merged 58) Back to Animation shop, paste after current frame 59) Click Animation, frame properties, Change the display time to 14 60) You may crop o

Seeing Squares ::?DaBratsDesigns~07:: Supplies Needed: PSP Tube of choice Accent of choice Xero (Fritillary) Lets begin! Preparation: Extract or place filters in PSP plugins folder. Open tube and accent, duplicate both and close originals. 1) Highlight tube, Image resize, Settings: Resample using =Smart size, lock aspect ratio checked, resize all layers checked Height no more than 325 in pixels, width will adjust itself. 2) Adjust, sharpness, sharpen. (If needed) 3) Dropper tool Left click on tube, choose a dark color. Set it to your foreground. Right click, choose a light color and set it to your background. 4) File, new image 325 x 400, transparent 5) Flood fill canvas with your dark color. 6) Effects, plugins, Xero, Fritillary Settings: 7) Selection tool Settings: Selection type =Rectangle, Mode =Add(Shift), Feather =30, Anti-alias checked. 8) Starting from the right side at the edge, draw out your selection, like so. 9) Hit delete on your keyboard. Select none. 10) Image, canvas size Settings: 1280 x 400 Middle left arrow checked. 11) Layers, new raster layer. 12) Layers, arrange, send to bottom. 13) Fill with your background color. 14) Effects, plugins, Xero, Fritillary. Same settings. 15) Highlight top layer. 16) Edit, copy tube, edit, paste onto your background. 17) Move your tube over to your left, place to your liking, leaving room for your text & accents. 18) Add drop shadow of choice. 19) Add your text using your light color. Settings: Foreground set to null. 20) Layers, convert to raster layer. 21) Selections, select all, selections, float, selections, defloat. 22) Effects, plugins, Xero Fritillary, same settings. 23) Effects, 3-D effects, Inner Bevel Settings: Bevel =2, width =20, smoothness =20, depth =1, ambience =0, shininess =0, color =white, angle =350, intensity =50, elevation =30. 24) Apply drop shadow of choice. Select none. 25) Edit, copy, edit, paste, your accents to the darker or light side of your background. 26) Layers, merge visible. 27) Edit, copy your accent, edit paste again the same accent, or a differant one, place on the light color part of your background in various spots until you are satisfied. 28) Hide bottom layer on layer palette. 29) Highlight top layer. 30) Layers, merge visible. 31) Lower the opacity of this layer to 20-34 32) Layers view all 33) Layers, new raster layer. 34) Add your water mark. 35) Layers, merge visible 36) File, export JPEG optimizer with compression value set to 25. Supplies Needed: PSP I wrote this in 9, other versions will work well with this tut Pixel tube of choice Penta.com Color Dot, Dot And Cross FM Tile Tools, Blend Emboss Pegtop XFader *Optional* Accent of choice Preparation: Place filters into your PSP plugins folder Open your tube in PSP, duplicate and close the original All settings remain the same unless otherwise stated 1) With dropper tool left click on your tube and choose a medium to dark color (Set it to your Foreground) Choose a lighter hue from the medium to dark color you picked from your tube 2) File, new image 1280 x the height of your tube +10 Transparent 3) Flood Fill with your dark color 4) Effects, plugins, Penta.com Dot And Cross Settings: Amount =50, Cross distance =8, Cross width =1 5) Layers, new raster layer 6) Fill with your dark color 7) Lower the opacity of this layer to 62 8) Layers, merge visible 9) Effects, plugins, FM Tile Tools, Blend Emboss at default settings 10) Layers, new raster layer 11) Selections, custom selection Settings: Top =0, Left =25, Right =140, Bottom =height of your background 12) Flood Fill with light color 13) Effects, plugins, Penta.com, Color Dot at default settings 14) Effects, plugins, FM Tile tools, Blend emboss Select none 15) Effects, 3-D effects, Drop shadow Settings: V & H =1, Opacity =40, Blur =8 Color =Black, Shadow on new layer =Unchecked 16) Repeat Drop Shadow, but only changing V & H to -1(Minus) 17) Pen tool Settings: Draw Lines and Polylines checked, Line style =Small Dash, Width =2, Anti-alias checked 18) Materials Palette Set Background to null 19) Holding your shift key down, Draw out a line along the right side of the selection you just made Like so 20) Layers, convert to raster layer 21) Repeat both drop shadows 22) Layers, duplicate 23) With move tool click on the line you just made, using your left arrow key on your keyboard, move this line over to your left 24) Edit, copy your tube 25) Edit, paste as new layer onto your working background place to your liking *Resize & Sharpen if needed* 26) Add drop shadow of choice 27) Add your accents & drop shadows now if you wish 28) Duplicate your accent tube layer, with move tool, move your tube over to the right, onto your dark background 29) Lower the opacity of this tube to your liking, Duplicate and place to your liking until you are happy with your Background 30) Add your water mark 31) Layers, merge all flatten 32) File, save as JPEG! Running your image through XFader 1) Open XFader 2) File, open Browse to were you saved your background Open 3) Click on the X next to the color circle Use settings below Only as a guideline You may have to adjust the static Y, depending on your Background Hit the green check mark on the bottom right hand corner to apply the settings 4) Next click on the icon next to the magnifying glass Again, only use the settings below as a guideline hit the green check mark to apply the settings Now you have a perfectly seemless BG!!! 5) File, save You can name your BG or keep it as the file type it is showing now. In the second drop down arrow(Save as type), choose "JPegs (*jpg) That's it! We are finished :D Run your image through Letter creator now.
