1. File > Open
Your tube
?
2. Window >?Duplicate (Shift?+ D)
Close original??
?
3. Dropper Tool
Left click on your tube to?pick?a
medium/dark color for your
Foreground
Right click to pick?a?light color
for your Background
?
4.? File >?New > New Image
Settings:
Width?= 300 Pixels
Height?=?400 Pixels
Image Characteristics =
Raster Background
Color = Transparent checked
?
5. Materials Palette
Change your?Foreground to Gradient
Settings:
Foreground-background
Angle = 45
Repeats = 5
Invert = Unchecked
Style = Linear
Texture = NOT Checked

6. Flood Fill Tool
Settings:

Match mode?= None

Sample merged?= Not checked

Blend mode?= Normal

Opacity?= 100

Left?click to fill with Gradient

7. Layers > Load/Save Mask >
Load Mask From Disk
Settings:
Mask = mask140[1]
Create mask from = Source luminance
Orientation = Fit to canvas
Invert transparency = Unchecked

8. Layers > Merge > Merge Group

Lock aspect ratio = Unchecked

10. Effects > 3D Effects > Drop Shadow

Vertical & Horizontal = 0
Opacity =?80
Blur = 20.00
Color = White or your light color
Shadow on new layer = NOT Checked

11.? Activate your Tube

12. Image >?Resize
Settings:

Resample using?= Smart Size

Lock aspect ratio?= Checked

Resize all layers?= Checked?

Width?= No more than?320 Pixels

Height?= No more than?400 Pixels

13. Adjust > Sharpness > Sharpen

15. Activate your Main Canvas

Move your tube if you choose or leave it as is

*Do not add a drop shadow to a misted tube*
