DRIBBLED FUR TUTORIAL

This tutorial is my own creation through playing in psp. Any similarity to another tutorial is purely by coincidence.

Please do not copy this tutorial and claim it as your own.

This tutorial was made using PSP 9 but I am sure it can be made in any other version. You will need a basic knowledge in the use of plug-ins and the general tools in PSP. (Beginner/Intermediate)?

You will also need to know how to assemble the letter and header in Letter Creator.

Filters required:

- Dribble

Supplies:

Tube of choice.

Performance Notes:

All settings are on Default, unless otherwise specified.

?

Lets go : remember to save often :)

1. Open tube in psp - Shift D to duplicate and close the original.

2. Go to Image, Image Resize (Shift S) to no more than 325 width using Bicubic resampling. Adjust, Sharpen, Sharpen if necessary. Edit, Copy.

3. Choose a light color from your tube for background by right clicking.

4. Image, Canvas Size: Settings 1280 x your tube height plus 50, left center placement. (Optional - you may change these settings for your own screen resolution).

5. Layers, New Raster Layer. Layers, Arrange, Send to Bottom. Right click to fill with your color.

6. Selections, Select All (Control A). Edit, paste into selection (your tube you copied). Select None (Control D).

7. Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur: Radius 20.

8. Effects, Image effects, Seamless Tiling > default (click black arrow at the top).

9. Effects, Plug-ins, VM Extravaganza, Dribble : Settings Amount (31) Brightness (0) Transparency (255) Wobbler 1 (65) Wobbler 2 (58) Randon Seed (28)

10. Effects, Distortion Effects, Twirl at 100

11. Effects, Texture Effects, Fur with settings Blur (10) Density (8) Length (50) Transparency (30)

12. Effects, Edge Effects, Enhance.

13. Effects, Image Effects, Seamless Tile:?default.

14. Layers, New Raster Layer, and fill with your background color. Reduce opacity to your liking, ensuring your background is text friendly.

15. Add a drop shadow of choice to your tube layer. I used H/V 5, Opacity 55 and Blur 5.00. If using a misted tube, omit the drop shadow.

16. Add new raster layer, and put your watermark on your image. You may also add any text you wish to your stationery. Layers, Merge Visible.

17. File, Export JPEG Optimizer with settings at 25% compression and save your background.

Assemble all in Letter Creator.

This tutorial is from my own ideas while playing in PSP. Any similarity to another tutorial is purely by coincidence and no copyright infringement is intended.

This tutorial was written in PSP9, but should easily be done in other versions of PSP. A working knowledge of the program is recommended, but the tutorial is relatively easy.

Supplies:

Tube of choice – one taller than wide will work best

?

Filters: ()

VM Toolbox – Grid

Simple – Diamonds

Toadies – Weaver

?

All Settings will remain the same unless stated otherwise.

?

Step 1

Open your tube of choice. Duplicate and close the original

?

Step 2

Image> Resize

Settings:

Resample using Smart Size

Lock aspect ratio = checked

Resize all layers = checked

Resize to no more than 300 pixels wide and 400 pixels high

?

*Optional> Adjust> Sharpness> Sharpen

?

Step 3

Dropper Tool

Left click to select a dark color for your foreground

Right click to select a light color of the same hue for your background

?

Step 4

Edit> Copy your tube and minimize

?

Step 5

File> New 1350 x 350 pixels

?

*if you are using a wider screen resolution, you will need to make the appropriate adjustments, and subtract 300 from your overall width for your side border later in the tutorial

Flood fill with your light color (right click)

Step 7

Adjust> Add/Remove Noise> Add Noise

Be Creative. Also if you do not like my drop shadow
settings feel free to use your own. If my chosen
color does not work please choose another one.?

What you will need :

-PSP???(I used PSPX2)
-Letter Creator to put it together?
-You will need to have these plugins installed
before you start
-Penta -
-Xero -
-Install all plugins in your plugin folder of your?PSP program
-Close PSP and reopen?it and look and make sure your
plugin's are there.
-Tube of choice

First let's set up a few things we need:

-Resize no more than 300W and 350H

-Pick out 4 colors?from tube/ 2 dark/ 2 light
-Write them down and number them 1-4

Let's Begin!

#1.Open image in psp,duplicate,close the original.
Image resize to no more the 350 in width.
Sharpen if needed.
?
#2.Pick a medium to dark color from your image.
?
#3.Open a new transparent image 250x250
?
#4.Fill your blank canvas with your color.
?
#5.Adjust=Add/Remove Noise=Add Noise.
Uniform checked,Monochrome checked.
Noise=30%
?
**Note**
The higher your % is on the noise the more of a plaid effect you will get.
Also the lower the percent is you will get a softer plaid look.
Play with it some and see what you come up with:)

#6.Apply Horizonaus Stripesarein
Both set to 100(Default)

#7.Apply Simple filters=Diamond.
?
#8.Apply Simple filters=4 way average.
?
#9.Set the Bg tile you just made to your foreground.
Angel=0,Scale=100.

#10.Back to your other image.

#11.Selection tool.

#1.Open Xfader.

#2.File=Open,browse to were you saved your image.

#3.Click on the X next to the color ring at the very top.

#4.Another small window will open with sliders.

#5.Fade vert.Checked.
Static area checked.

#6.?Static X=100%,Static Y=62%..or play around with this slider until you like what you see.
Hit the tiny green check mark on the bottom right hand corner of this window.

#7.Click the Icon next to the magnifying glass

#8.Only move the?bottom slider,i usually have mine set to about 7.
This get's rid of the bottom of the?image that is peeking out at the top.
Hit the green check again.
?
#9.Go to file=save,save as type=?Jpegs(*.jpg).
?
#10.You can now run your image through letter creator.
